A dorsal incision was made between the 3rd and 4th metacarpals. The 3rd metacarpal was approached from the dorsal and ulnar side by periosteal incision and subperiosteal dissection. This approach provided maximum protection to the extensor tendon. An open reduction was performed and stabilized with two mini lag screws. (Figs. 3&4)
