The course begins with a review of the objectives and is followed by a pretest. Each course is built around the sections of the Orthopaedic Knowledge Online program. At the completion of the pretest for each section (Pathophysiology, Diagnosis, Management/Surgery, and each individual Surgical Procedure), you are asked to review the text, images, and video for that section. At the completion of the modules, you will be given a posttest and a course evaluation, before submitting for your CME credit.

Course Format

This course includes the following activities, which must be completed in order:

  1. Pretest/Educational Content for each of the following sections of the OKO topic: Scaphoid Nonunion
    • Pathophysiology and Etiology
    • Diagnosis
    • Management
    • Palmar Approach for Scaphoid Waist Nonunions
    • Dorsal Approach for Proximal Pole Nonunions
    • Vascularized Bone Graft
  2. Comprehensive Posttest

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
