In this video, Dr. Gerber details the technical steps to follow to obtain optimal exposure of the glenoid using a deltopectoral approach for total shoulder replacement. Identification of the landmarks, osteotomy of the lesser tuberosity, subscapularis mobilization, capsular release, resection of labrum, and reaming of the glenoid are shown in detail. This video will help the orthopaedic surgeon to master the particularly difficult steps in exposing the glenoid cavity and implanting a glenoid prosthesis.
