Chap. 15 Video 5: Anatomic ACL Reconstruction--All Comers

February 05, 2016

Contributors: Mark D Miller, MD; Joe Hart, PhD, ATC; Gregory Kurkis, Medical Student

In this video, we present techniques for achieving anatomic anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructions in a variety of clinical scenarios. The introduction demonstrates a primary single-bundle anatomic ACL reconstruction using a hamstring autograft. Subsequent sections focus on adaptations to this technique for primary single-bundle anatomic ACL reconstruction with a bone-patellar tendon graft, revision ACL reconstruction, and femoral physeal reconstruction. All of the techniques that are shown focus on restoring the native ACL in its anatomic footprint.
