Although toe arthroscopy has had limited applications, it has become a viable treatment option for the management of select toe pathologies, with indications continuing to expand as technology and techniques improve. Various distraction techniques can be used to perform toe arthroscopy; however, all of these methods have had limited success. We propose a simple toe arthroscopy distraction technique that involves the use of an external positioning arm, which allows for the application of manual traction in multiple positions without the use of an assistant, external weights, or reprocessed sterile equipment.
