Athletic hip injuries are a frequent cause of visits to the training room or doctor's office. In the past, many of these conditions were recalcitrant to nonsurgical management and considered recalcitrant groin pulls that would result in premature retirement from sports activity. In the past 10 years, recognition of athletic hip injuries has tremendously increased, allowing athletes to safely return to play; however, successful management is contingent on timely diagnosis. This video will help general practitioners and sports medicine providers concisely and confidently evaluate an athlete's hip for common core and hip pathology prevalent in the athletic population.
