Distal Radius Fractures remain among the most common fractures evaluated and treated by Orthopaedic Surgeons, often requiring surgical repair. A number of treatment strategies and fixation strategies exist for Distal Radius Fractures. The experienced faculty of this Webinar will review the current surgical indications for distal radius fractures as well as techniques and pearls for the various fixation strategies for distal radius fractures.
At the conclusion of this webinar, learners should be able to:
· To learn the surgical and non-surgical indications for distal radius fractures.
· To learn when volar plate fixation is indicated and tips and tricks for their surgical placement.
· To learn when volar plate fixation should be avoided for alternative fixation strategies for certain distal radius fractures.
· To learn indication and surgical technique for bridge plate fixation of distal radius fractures.
