Greater trochanteric pain syndrome is a common condition that encompasses trochanteric bursitis, external coxa saltans (snapping hip), and abductor tendinopathy or tearing.  Over the last 15 years, our understanding of the anatomy, pathophysiology and imaging characteristics of the peritrochanteric space has improved dramatically which now allows us to offer tailored open and endoscopic treatment options to patients who fail non-surgical management.  This webinar will highlight current concepts in the diagnosis of greater trochanteric pain syndrome, technical pearls in open and endoscopic surgical treatment as well as a robust case discussion with an experienced panel.

At the conclusion of this webinar, learners should be able to:

·         Grasp the anatomy of the peritrochanteric space and pathophysiology of greater trochanteric pain syndrome

·         Be familiar with the anatomy of the hip abductor tendon insertions and bursa on the greater trochanter

·         Understand the surgical decision-making process for treating patients with Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome.

·         Understand current surgical techniques, pearls and indications for open and endoscopic surgical management of greater trochanteric pain syndrome
