Webinar Director: Sonu Jain, MD
The use of biologics in Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery has grown tremendously. Being inundated with various products, hand and upper extremity surgeons are challenged with understanding biologics indications and efficacy. Hand surgeons want to do what is best for their patients and maximize surgical outcomes, but we also want to be cost-conscious. This program will help you understand biologics in fracture, nerve, tendon and soft tissue surgery in your practice and incorporate value-based decision making.
At the conclusion of this webinar, learners should be able to:
· To be aware of available biological products that are used in hand and upper extremity surgery including fractures, nerve injury, tendon injury and soft tissue defects
· To understand the efficacy of biologics in hand and upper extremity surgery
· To incorporate value-based decisions with the use of biologics in an upper extremity practice
