Proper understanding and restoration of sagittal alignment in the thoracolumbar spine is critical during spinal fusion surgery. In degenerative pathologies, there is usually a loss of lumbar lordosis. Ideally, this needs to be addressed correctly at the index surgery for optimal patient outcome.
At the conclusion of this webinar, learners should be able to:
· Understand normal lumbar lordosis and its relationship to spinopelvic parameters
· Learn how to properly assess lumbar lordosis
· Appreciate surgical techniques used in achieving appropriate lumbar lordosis
