This online, 5-module, independent study course provides the essential content on musculoskeletal tumors and diseases that is required for residents to be successful in preparation for the ABOS Part 1 examination or the OITE. With the most up-to-date information and evidence-based knowledge, residents can confidently prepare for examinations and learn best practices. In addition, residency program directors can monitor usage and scores for each resident in the program via a dashboard, to ensure successful course completion.
Module 1: General Evaluation of Musculoskeletal Tumors – Brian E. Brigman, MD, PhD, Module Editor
Module 2: Benign Bone Tumors – Wakenda K. Tyler, MD, MPH, Module Editor
Module 3: Malignant Tumors – Carol D. Morris, MD, MS, Module Editor

Each module begins with a pre-test—a clinical case related to the module topics followed by questions related to the case—to enable orthopaedic residents to gauge their starting knowledge. MSTS members and top experts in the field present seven to eight topics per module via recorded lectures, surgical videos, interactive learning elements, and clinical cases. Modules conclude with a summary, critical concepts for clinical practice, knowledge check questions, and a reference library for further learning opportunities.
