Arthroscopic, Knotless, All-Suture Anchor Bankart Repair

Advancements in the surgical management of glenohumeral instability have resulted in stronger fixation and less invasive procedures. Arthroscopic suture anchor repair has been the preferred method for the management of isolated capsulolabral tears. Although solid suture anchors can handle physiologic load, they present challenges, such as chondral damage because of anchor size and imperfect angulation, osteolysis, anchor breakage, revision drilling, difficult revision surgery in patients with bone loss, and compromised quality of postoperative MRI. Recently, knotless all-suture anchors were introduced to overcome these challenges. Knotless all-suture anchors lack a rigid component and may be placed in a smaller diameter tunnel, allowing for maintenance of glenoid bone stock. This video describes a minimally invasive approach for the fixation of capsulolabral tears with the use of a knotless all-suture anchor construct.
